Initially worked as a Chemical Engineer before travelling in Asia and then working for a number of years in Australia, France and Turkey. Returned to the UK and trained as a teacher. Currently subject leader of Chemistry at Rochdale Sixth Form college.

Paul is former Army Tank Mechanic and local council vehicle inspector. He is now co-director of a software testing company and stay at home father of four children. One child is now in College having completed his GCSEs and two children, twin boy and girl, are now at Fearns, the fourth being in primary school.

A retired solicitor who was educated locally and then at University College London. He is a former partner of a large practice with offices throughout east Lancashire and north Manchester. He has been Secretary of Rawtenstall Chamber of Commerce for more than twenty years and is currently Vice Chair of Rossendale Leisure Trust. Having lived and worked in all Valley towns he takes a keen interest in all matters local.

47 years in education as teacher, senior leader and, before retirement, Lancashire Local Authority Principal Secondary/Post 16 Adviser. Former Ofsted Inspector and O Level and GCSE Chief Examiner. Extensive experience of team and budget management in educational settings and the Local Authority. Currently also secretary/manager (honorary) of the local golf club.

Lesley Wells

Lesley is a former pupil with a child currently attending the school.  She has worked in leisure throughout the valley for 20 years, delivering swimming and lifesaving skills.  She is currently a swimming liaison officer.  She also delivers Lifeguard and First Aid courses for the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) as a trainer assessor.
