GCSE Exams

|

It is vital that you arrive on time to your exams (at least 10 minutes before the start time of the exam) and properly equipped with a clear pencil case containing pens, pencils, rubber, sharpener and ruler. Some exams may also need equipment such as a calculator or compasses. Please ensure you have these, and bring them into school. I would like to reinforce the regulations concerning mobile phones. Pupils MUST give these in to the invigilator for each external examination as they enter the exam room. Phones are securely kept and returned to pupils at the end of the examination so they can be placed in school bags (as is school policy). It is vital that you attend all examinations for which they are entered. Failure to attend without a valid reason will leave school with no option but to charge you for the cost of the examination missed.

Remember what your teachers have told you about the following things and you will be fine :

  •  Preparation prepare your mind and your body! Get healthy, exercise, drink plenty of water and revise in short chunks of 30 minutes
  •  Time management plan your time wisely and remember to not overdo it! Always revise the hardest topic first!
  •  Exam technique believe it or not there is a technique to this whole exam thing! Look at our revision website for lots of useful tips.

Do your very best and you will get the results you deserve.

The following sites are just some of those available to help your revision.  They are all extremely useful when you're looking for a different way to revise - have a break from textbooks and revision guides!!!

Also ask your subject teachers; there will be plenty of excellent sites devoted to just one GCSE subject at a time and your teacher can point you in their direction.

For more general sites that look at lots of subjects, try these...

These are just a few suggestions - there are literally millions of websites available to help with your revision.  Just use any Search Engine (Google, Yahoo, etc) and search for GCSE Revision - you can be more specific by also searching for the topic you want to revise.
